Described by People Magazine as “quite simply, the most epic personal injury attorney commercial we’ve ever seen”, Jamie Casino’s 2014 viral superbowl commercial broke ground in large part due to the unwavering vision of the client and the immense talent of the local Savannah crew that was assembled to produce it, completely unaware of the viral success it would achieve on regional television during halftime and across the world on the internet.
I was initially brought on to consult regarding visual effects. One thing led to another and I was supervising on-set, handling over 20 composites and even jumped into the editing chair for the rough cut.
Most of the work involved extending limited on-set pyro and fire effects, as well as various roto/paint and tracking shots, and the iconic smashing of the gravestone, realized as a stylized CG effect.
